The government bails out AIG to the tune of $85 billion.  This is money that has to be created out of thin air, it doesn’t come out of income taxes collected.  This is instead known as the inflation tax.

Bob Barr files suit in Texas to keep McCain and Obama off the ballot because they didn’t meet the filing deadline.  Keep your fingers crossed on this one.

Lehman Brothers is allowed to fail, thank God, and McCain and Obama stumble all over themselves to say they will be the ones to “fix” Wall Street.  They’ll do it either with more regulation, less regulation, or a reform of current regulation.  Either way, they are going to screw the pooch again.  Don’t they understand government has no place in the free market?

The US gave Georgia $1 billion to help them rebuild after Russia spanked their butts for attacking South Ossettia and Abkhazian.
