WTC Building 7: The Official NIST Explanation
Friday, August 22nd, 2008NIST admits it’s a first: WTC 7 collapsed because of fire. Yep, it fell at free fall speed toward the ground because of an office fire. They mostly blame the steel pins that held the floors to the steel structure; thermal expansion made them soft and the floors fell in rapid succession. Yeah, 6.5 seconds is pretty rapid, and it is physically impossible unless that building had some extra help falling down.
